Pre-Care Instructions
Pre-Care Instructions for Your Makeup Session
To ensure the best results from your professional makeup session, please follow these guidelines:
- Clean Skin: Start with a freshly cleansed face. Use a gentle facial cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup residues. This provides a clean canvas for makeup application.
- Avoid Moisturizers, Creams, or Oils: Please refrain from applying any moisturizers, creams, or facial oils prior to your session. These can interfere with the makeup's adherence and longevity.
- Exfoliation: Consider exfoliating your skin 24-48 hours before your appointment. This will remove dead skin cells and allow for smoother makeup application. However, avoid any harsh scrubs or treatments that might irritate your skin.
- Hydration: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session. Hydrated skin looks more radiant and helps makeup sit better.
- Eyebrows: If you plan on grooming or shaping your eyebrows, do so at least 48 hours before your session to avoid any redness or irritation.
- Lip Care: Gently exfoliate your lips the night before using a lip scrub or a soft toothbrush. Apply a lip balm afterward to keep them moisturized.
- Avoid Sunburn: Stay out of direct sunlight or avoid using tanning beds for at least 48 hours before your session. Sunburned or peeling skin can affect the makeup application process.
- Inform Ahead: If you have any allergies, sensitivities, or specific preferences regarding makeup products, please inform the makeup artist in advance.
By following these pre-care instructions, you'll be ensuring that your skin is in the best possible condition for your makeup session, leading to more beautiful and long-lasting results.
Post-Care Instructions
Post-Care Instructions: Making Your Makeup Last All Night
- Avoid Touching Your Face: Refrain from touching your face. Oils and dirt from your fingers can break down the makeup and cause it to smudge.
- Stay Hydrated, But Carefully: Drink water using a straw to prevent any potential smudging or removal of lip products.
- Blot, Don't Rub: If you feel your face getting oily, use blotting papers to absorb excess oil without disturbing your makeup.
- Avoid Creamy Products: If you need a touch-up, use powder-based products instead of creamy ones. Creamy products can cause previously applied makeup to move.
- Gentle Tears: If you find yourself tearing up, gently dab the tears with a tissue or q-tip, being careful not to rub or wipe.
- Emergency Kit: Consider carrying a small emergency touch-up kit with you. This could include your lip product, blotting papers, a small powder compact, and a few Q-tips for any minor smudges.
By adhering to these post-care instructions, you'll be maximizing the longevity of your professionally applied makeup, ensuring you look radiant all night long.
